This season, Pure Storage teamed up with the San Francisco Giants for a season-long campaign. For every pitch over 95 MPH, Pure Storage made a donation to the San Francisco Giants Community Fund – a total season donation of $100,000. Along with another $116,000 raised earlier this year at our February sales kickoff, the entirety of our donation will be allocated to the Junior Giants, a youth program supported by the Fund.

During the final regular season home game of the year, Pure Storage President David Hatfield and CMO Jonathan Martin joined Giants CEO Larry Baer and Giants Community Fund Director Sue Petersen on the field to present a check for the donation.

Established in 1994, the Junior Giants provide at-risk youth between the ages of 5 and 18 with on-and-off-field instruction and mentorship. This donation will cover league fees and equipment costs for 2,000 local girls and boys who love baseball and help further the Junior Giants’ mission of providing a free, non-competitive program in underserved communities that teaches important values and life skills through baseball.

Pure Storage has been a partner with the San Francisco Giants since the spring of 2016. Pure’s technology has allowed the Giants to effortlessly manage their storage as their data increases without sacrificing performance. We’re thrilled to be a part of the organization’s work on and off the field and can’t wait to continue our partnership next season!
