Eric Simon is the new Americas SLED Leader at Pure Storage, bringing over 15+ years of experience as a tech sales leader in government IT. Simon previously served as Regional Sales Leader, leading the sales team responsible for state, local, and education customers in the US SLED NorthEast Region.
In his current role, he is responsible for developing a team to enable the transformation of SLED Policy and Decision makers and Customers who protect, serve, and educate their constituents by leveraging technology to connect, innovate, and lead. Simon’s history of driving, Services based transformations, IT market share, building revenue, increasing Total Contract Value (TCV) and ensuring customer satisfaction has helped propel Pure Storage forward in the SLED market. His dedication to amplifying customer and partner stories is essential in developing and executing missions across State, local, and education sub-verticals.
Simon is an advocate for the application of information technology to provide a continuity of services, streamline operations, increase collaboration, and driving innovation. Simon is ever-present in Pure Storage’s “Pure Equality” Inclusion and Diversity Team, Employee mentoring and onboarding initiative, as well as Pure Good community service initiatives.
Prior to joining Pure Storage, Simon spent 13+ years at Hewlett packard (HP), where he held sales leadership positions in Commercial, Enterprise, and Public Sector segments.Simon has also served as the HP Public Sector/SLED leadership representative for EcoSystems Customer Advisory Council, as well as the TSIA Managed Services Board Member..
Simon also spent 2+ years at Steelcase Inc. as the Senior Sales Director/GM for the Smart + Connected Business, where he was responsible for the standup and starting of multiple new product category’s inside of the IT Space. Simon also enjoys volunteering with the local chapter of Autism Awareness and SASI. He also serves on the board of directors for CABA and is an Advisory board member with the Ecosystems Sales and Customer Success Advisory Board.
