Well, today we are thrilled to take the Pure1 mobile app to the next level of self-driving storage monitoring, delivering on our commitment that we announced earlier at Accelerate this year. This enables IT managers to analyze and explore their storage infrastructure whether FlashArray™ or FlashBlade™, anytime, anywhere, and from any device.

Pure1 Mobile app

Global Dashboard

Whenever I tell a customer that I work on the Pure1 product team – the first thing many people do is pull out their phone and mention how much they LOVE the mobile app. Being able to see information about their arrays and update cases from anywhere has made their lives significantly more productive and given them enough time to focus on projects impacting the business outcome. Given these reactions, it’s no surprise that Pure Storage is consistently ranked as a leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Solid-State Arrays.

First, we’re bringing the Global Dashboard to the mobile app. This brings the web feature to the app in a way that makes it easier to explore your environment. Previously, array information was presented at an individual array level. Now the dashboard brings aggregated information about your whole fleet to the front page so you can at-a-glance see how everything’s doing. You can see aggregated capacity, top arrays, and protection information including Purity ActiveCluster and Snapshot replication pod status.

In addition to that, we’ve now added Pure1 Meta™ predictive analytics results to the mobile app so you can see the arrays predicted to run out of space or performance headroom soonest. This way you can keep an eye on your environment from almost anywhere. With this new release, we are making it even easier to find the metrics you need with new sorting capabilities. We’ve added the ability to sort the arrays page by available features. You can sort by read or write latency, bandwidth, IOPS, or FlashArray Load – and we’ll be adding more choices over time. Even better, once you define a sort, we display the sorted metric for each array so you can see the information right in the list view. You don’t have to drill down into the metrics for a particular array.

Ultimately these enhancements will make the mobile experience seamless, intuitive and automated. IT managers can focus on their business demands.  The app is available for both Apple and Android devices. Head over to the App Store or Google Play Store to get the latest version of the Pure1 mobile app today!
