Ethical AI, or responsible AI—it’s an important issue, and one that provokes regular debate. The technology industry as a whole accept that more needs to be done to ensure ethical and responsible AI, and many businesses have taken concerted steps to address some of the issues. However, the high profile closure of the Google ethics board for Artificial Intelligence after just 9 days has proven for many how difficult it is, and shown that there is no one size fits all solution.

How can companies set up a successful responsible AI board?

What are the broader societal and technological issues? We help businesses do more with data, but the integrity and mobility of data is often called into question when it comes to AI. At Pure we want to get to the heart of this debate, including the challenges and opportunities, including:

  • Is data ethics too abstract a topic? Do we need to define upfront what that is?
  • Are we too late? Have machines already been trained on flawed or biased data?
  • The role of data integrity and mobility in improving AI outcomes
  • Why have previous attempts at ethics boards failed, and what does a successful AI Ethics Board look like?
  • What role do tech regulators need to play in addressing some of the challenges?
  • How can we secure a brighter future for AI?
