March 14 marks our first annual Pure//Accelerate conference, as disruptive to the tech conference space as Pure Storage is to the datacenter.  San Francisco Pier 48 is the place to be March 14-15, 2016.

From Sharks and Giants, to the Super Bowl – we have a full agenda at Accelerate, including a keynote by Zorawar Biri Singh, SVP and CTO at leading IT provider, Cisco, which you won’t want to miss.  A world-renowned expert with laser focus on cloud agility, Biri will be followed by a session given by top virtualization gurus from both Cisco and Pure who know VDI like the backs of their hands.

Cisco’s participation at Accelerate reflects results from several initiatives to enhance our integrated offering, FlashStack™ Converged Infrastructure (CI). These include an upcoming Cisco Validated Design and a one-call support option, Solution Support for Critical Infrastructure, both intended to provide our customers with greater confidence, decreased risk and decreased time to deployment to accelerate the realization of business value.

The FlashStack Converged Infrastructure solution combines leading technologies from Pure Storage (FlashArray), Cisco® (UCS® and Nexus® Switches) and VMware® (vSphere®). With FlashStack available for many common data center workloads, the specific large-scale use case in the anticipated “FlashStack for Enterprise VDI” Cisco Validated Design will feature the above plus VMware® Horizon® for the creation and management of virtual desktops.

Since the market launch of FlashStack, hundreds of customers, including cloud service providers, educational institutions, hospitals, governments and financial services leaders, have deployed FlashStack to transform to all-flash infrastructure. One such customer, cloud service provider Secure-24, has adopted FlashStack as its architecture of choice for the mission-critical workloads of its customers.

“Accelerating our clients’ migration to the cloud is critical to Secure-24’s continued success. FlashStack’s integrated architecture, built on industry-leading components from Pure Storage, Cisco, and VMware, enables us to quickly deploy landscapes and meet the dynamic business needs of our clients.” – Scott McIsaac, CTO, Secure-24

In this always-on digital age, our customers appreciate the business and IT transformation that an all-Flash data center drives.  One of the fastest-growing online health publishersLifescript.com, is an example of this type of digital-savvy customer.  A leading website focused on women’s health, Lifescript’s mission is to create a place where women from around the globe find and share healthy living information in real-time.

According to Jack Hogan, Lifescript’s CTO, “FlashStack from Cisco and Pure is the disruptive technology we needed to change our entire data center. In fact, after achieving 12x reduction in latency; 60% reduction in data center footprint; and 3.5-to-1 data reduction in our first data center, we’ve decided to expand this solution to our second data center”.

In keeping with our mission to provide outstanding user experiences for our customers, Pure Storage is pleased to be included in the support matrix for Cisco Solution Support for Critical Infrastructure.  This comprehensive offering provides customers the option to purchase a service that provides hardware or software and solution-level support for this flexible, all-Flash converged infrastructure solution.

“Our portfolio of services unlocks potential for our customers and partners worldwide. Companies and governments are embracing the need for digital transformation, and Cisco Services support their business goals to deliver operational outcomes, agility, and performance,” said Joe Pinto, Senior Vice President, Technical Services.  “Pure Storage is a welcome addition to our lineup of approved vendors for Solution Support for Critical Infrastructure, which gives customers a primary point of accountability for their solution.”

Speaking about accountability to customers, Pure Storage – a 100% channel company – would like to thank our channel partners, who – by putting themselves on the line for our joint customers on a daily basis – have fueled our company’s growth.  With a myriad of leading channel partners worldwide now selling and supporting FlashStack solutions, it is noteworthy that many of them – such as ePlus — are also long-time trusted Cisco channel partners:

“Our customers look to ePlus to accelerate their business value by offering innovative solutions, such as high performance, all-Flash storage from Pure Storage.  Cisco interoperability verification, along with inclusion of Pure by Cisco in their Solution Support for Critical Infrastructure matrix, provides solid options for our mutual client base,” said Darren Raiguel, executive vice president of sales. “Given the exacting standards of mission critical enterprises, interoperability certifications, design guides and solution support offerings for joint Pure Storage and Cisco customers provide extra layers of reassurance and confidence.”

At Pure//Accelerate, Pure is proud to host Cisco SVP and CTO of Platforms and Solution, Zorawar Biri Singh, as our keynote speaker on Tuesday, March 15 @ 2pm.  (Can’t make it in person? We have you covered with the recording here.) Following that session, we will host another joint session with Cisco @ 3pm, this one on large scale VDI deployment with FlashStack experts and a panel of FlashStack VDI customers.  Strap in for the ride – it’s going to be an amazing few days at Pure//Accelerate!
