EMEA has been quick to embrace the disruptive innovation we’ve been bringing to storage since 2009. That has resulted in continued strong growth for us in the region – and there’s no sign of that slowing down. New EMEA customer wins in the quarter include: Dustin Sverige, Lufthansa Aero Alzey Gmbh and Zeiss Vision Care France.

Not only were we named a leader in the annual Gartner Magic Quadrant for Solid-State Arrays for the fifth consecutive year, but the most recent IDC Quarterly Enterprise Storage Systems Tracker showed that we had grown over 90 percent CAGR in EMEA from 2014 to 2017 – higher than any other storage vendor in the market. The data also showed that there is a drag on growth for vendors selling legacy storage.

We believe our success is due to two factors – our culture of innovation and commitment to our customers. Our dedication to meeting the data needs of our customers not only today but also tomorrow, is at the heart of what we do. Whether that’s reinforcing our first-mover advantage and taking NVMe mainstream, empowering AI and analytics or developing better ways to do business via our Evergreen business model, we are constantly thinking about new ways to help customers leverage their most important asset – their data.

2018 saw us reach an important milestone – $1B in annual revenue. It also saw us make our first acquisition as a listed company. We acquired StorReduce, a cloud-first software-defined storage solution for managing large scale unstructured data. The acquisition allows us to add sophisticated deduplication technology to our object storage portfolio and expand our public cloud integrations to meet the growing demand to manage unstructured data in multi-cloud environments.

These milestones wouldn’t have been possible without our people; be they Pure employees, partners or customers.

Our consistently high certified customer NPS score is not only critical to our own success measurement but is also an important proof point for new customers. The growing portfolio of customers joining the likes of ManAHL and Waitrose, are from sectors as diverse as public sector and travel to finance and aviation:

Pure immediately distinguished itself for its technological architecture, performance, and last but not least, convenience.

Our continued success with customers, along with commitment to our partners, will be key to our continued growth. The recent appointment of industry veteran Matthieu Brignone, as Head of EMEA Channel and Alliances, brings more than 20 years of proven sales and management experience to the Pure EMEA team. Matthieu’s experience in both international sales and partner leadership roles has already boosted a good start to another ambitious and transformative year.

In addition, we launched a new programme for partners, one that has evolved in order to keep pace with the significant growth of the company. It empowers partners with new training, certifications, support and incentives.

The future’s bright for the entire Pure ecosystem in EMEA. Data volumes continue to grow and our customers and prospects are demanding results from innovations such as analytics, AI and machine learning. Our all-flash approach is perfectly placed to deliver on this now and in the future. Add to this the highly acquisitive enterprise environment in the region and I think we will continue to see healthy growth in the region.
