Come visit us at VMworld, 29 Aug – 1 Sep 2011, to see the FlashArray live, and enter to win tickets to Super Bowl XLVI!
Freshly out of stealth, Pure Storage is showing-off our new FlashArray for the first time next week at VMworld in Las Vegas. If you’re attending the show, please stop by (booth 1413) to say hello, get a demo, and discuss with us how flash can make an impact on your virtualized data center. We will also be demoing the FlashArray in the Samsung Green Memory booth (booth 427). In both locations, we will have a fully operating FlashArray demonstrating some of the game-changing capabilities of Pure Storage’s all-flash architecture:
- VMware Hyper-Consolidation: 1,000 VMs running on a single 64TB vSphere 5 datastore, all housed in a single 5TB FlashArray delivering 10,000s of IOPS
- 10-20X inline data reduction with 10,000s of IOPS and <1ms latency
- VDI: a large 500-VM VDI environment, constantly booting VMs and handling I/O storms without breaking a sweat
- Virtualized Oracle: see a Tier 1 Oracle deployment, fully-virtualized with no performance penalty
- Pure Simplicity: See how easy managing an all-flash storage array can be (no complex tiering, RAID, LUN hot-spots, or performance tuning)
In addition to showcasing our new product and its performance in VMware environments, we will be joined by Pure Storage investors and friends of the company, Ronnie Lott and Harris Barton. Ronnie and Harris, of course, won three Super Bowls together with the San Francisco 49ers. They will be in our booth signing autographs on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 31st, and joining some of our end-users for a small reception that evening (feel free come by the booth to try to finagle an invite, but capacity is limited).
And don’t miss out – we will be giving away 2 tickets to the SuperBowl XLVI in Indianapolis (Feb 5, 2012). Stop by, watch the demo, and get your name in that drawing! Who wants a free iPad when you can go to the Superbowl!?
It’s been great fun to have Ronnie and Harris help amp-up the team spirit at Pure Storage. A recurring theme of mine is “there’s no ‘I’ in team” and “check your ego at the door”—that is, only by subordinating individual success to that of the organization can you win in team sports, like football and entrepreneurship. Ronnie and Harris share our enthusiasm for competition, and for the deep trust and collaboration that leads to team success. When speaking with employees, having Ronnie and Harris reinforce those principles from their own experiences on a more competitive playing field has reinforced these values in our culture. (Harris was an All-Pro, and Ronnie is one of the best defenders to ever play the game.) To celebrate that culture, we came up with a unique football themed booth for the show.
If are aren’t going to make it to Las Vegas, but you’d like to see the demos, contact our sales team or watch for our 8 Sep webseminar during which we will stream video from these demos (sans Super Bowl tickets I’m afraid).
