I work in the Office of the CTO at Pure Storage as a Director of Technical Strategy. After leading the Storage Systems research at IDC for almost nine years, I wanted to move back onto the vendor side and am happy to have landed at Pure. I’ve worked in high tech for 35 years and focused on enterprise storage for over 30 of those at companies like Sun, Veritas, Dell, Topio, Mendocino Software, Virsto and others. I also spent some time as an Executive in Residence at Mayfield and worked for a smaller storage analyst firm before joining IDC in 2013. In joining Pure I was very happy to rekindle relationships with folks I had known at Veritas back in the 1990s as well as see a lot of other familiar faces from my time in storage.
