Patrick Lopez is the Global Telecom Field CTO at Pure Storage, with over 25 years of experience in the telecom industry. He has held significant roles, including global VP of Product Management for 5G products at NEC and global VP of Networks Innovation at Telefonica Group. Patrick has led teams that invented Open RAN and deployed the first telco Edge Computing. His achievements include winning over 30 international new product introduction awards, pioneering the Lean Telco innovation framework, and executing the world’s first Open RAN and Telco Edge Computing commercial deployments. Patrick has collaborated with various industry and financial institutions and has written articles for prominent publications. He currently resides in Toronto, Canada, and has worked in multiple countries. He holds an MBA in Corporate Management.
