These past two months have brought both celebratory and grateful moments at Pure. We celebrated our 11th anniversary and now we’ve been named a Leader in Gartner’s recently published 2020 Magic Quadrant for Primary Storage Arrays. Not to mention the added recognition of Gartner positioning Pure highest and furthest in both ability to execute and completeness of vision. We could only achieve these milestones through the commitment of our customers, partners, and the Pure team.

This stellar news comes at a pivotal time not just for Pure, but for the industry at large.  Customer requirements are evolving as organizations navigate shifting resource demands and new ways of working in a rapidly changing environment. Economic and architectural flexibility have never been more important. This year’s Gartner Magic Quadrant for Primary Storage Arrays is validation of this shift.

We believe the recognition from Gartner represents a new opportunity for you, our customers. Our vision is to fundamentally change the expectations for data and storage management—providing developers with real-time access to data storage and management, and automating data-management operations.

We don’t think our Leader placement in a Magic Quadrant is accidental. We believe it represents the intersection of innovation and customers, as a stroll down the memory lane of our achievements and innovations this past year shows. From announcing the third-generation all-NVMe FlashArray//X to providing mission-critical SAP workloads on FlashArray. From a unified block-and-file solution with Purity 6.0 software to increased adoption of our flexible-consumption model. And rolling out the second generation of our capacity-optimized all-QLC FlashArray//C, which renders legacy hybrid disk obsolete.

We have truly had a banner year bringing innovation and solutions to your most pressing challenges.

Customers Continue to Be Our North Star

Gartner’s unique perspective on the market is derived from its many interactions with end users—our North Star—and the breadth and depth of those conversations. We believe that being named a Leader is an incredible honor, but our continued recognition is only possible because of you. Year after year, we are truly inspired to action by how you deliver user-centric experiences, whether it’s patient-centered care, world-class SaaS delivery, or expediting development of therapeutics during a pandemic.

Be it engineering, sales, marketing, or any other, Pure teams always keep the customers in mind in everything they do. Pure’s Net Promoter Score of 82, combined with this continued Magic Quadrant recognition from Gartner, further solidified my belief that nothing is more important to Pure than delivering the best customer experience and winning your trust and satisfaction.

We thank our customers and partners for continuing to place your trust in us and for helping us to achieve this recognition. We could not have done it without you. We are excited, inspired, and ready to reach even further and higher in the coming year.
