Your business is evolving rapidly, expanding into new markets, acquiring new organizations, and scaling operations to meet increasing demand. At Pure Storage, we want to ensure that managing your infrastructure scales effortlessly as your business grows. Our vision is to keep management “Pure Storage simple”—seamless, efficient, and stress-free—so you can focus on innovation rather than complexity.

Pure Identity and Access Management Portal

Last year, we introduced the first version of the Pure Identity and Access Management (IAM) portal, extracting it from Pure1® Manage into its own dedicated platform. This transition provided a more seamless and flexible way to manage different identity types, including users, user groups, and API keys. By separating IAM into its own portal, we enabled organizations to streamline identity management while introducing new security and access features—all without sacrificing the simplicity that Pure Storage is known for.

The Pure Identity and Access Management (IAM) 2.1 portal makes it easier than ever for users to work with multiple organizations, streamline access, and strengthen security—so you can focus on growing your business faster than ever.

Let’s look at a few ways Pure IAM 2.1 allows enterprises to simplify access governance, enhance security, and drive efficiency at scale—helping you scale with confidence and agility.

Seamless Organization Switching: Unifying Access across Business Entities

Large enterprises often manage multiple business units or global subsidiaries. With Pure IAM 2.1, individual users can now switch between organizations they have been granted access to—eliminating the inefficiencies of multiple logins and reducing authentication friction.

The organization switching update is particularly beneficial for:

  • Enterprise IT administrators managing access across multiple business divisions
  • Organizations collaborating with external partners

By enabling seamless organization switching, Pure IAM 2.1 ensures a secure experience, reducing administrative overhead while maintaining strict access control.

New Operator Role: Strengthening Cross-organization Administration

Enterprises require granular administrative roles to ensure operational efficiency without overextending privileged access. The new Operator role in Pure IAM 2.1 enables users to perform most administrative functions, like self-service upgrades and tags management across multiple organizations—while maintaining strict security boundaries.

Key benefits of the Operator role include:

  • Improved delegation of administrative tasks across global teams
  • Reduced IT bottlenecks, allowing teams to execute operational changes securely
  • Stronger access governance, ensuring that permissions are clearly defined and managed

Log Center: Expanding Cyber Resiliency

The introduction of Log Center in Pure IAM 2.1 provides organizations with enhanced visibility into authentication activity, failed login attempts, and a holistic overview of all actions done across your infrastructure.

Log Center empowers enterprises to:

  • Identify and mitigate security threats
  • Enhance compliance and audit tracking with end-to-end logging
  • Monitor and analyze authentication patterns across all business units
  • Correlate messages across your infrastructure per user or per resource

By consolidating access and security logs into a centralized cross-organization view, IT teams gain deeper insights, improving incident response, optimizing access policies, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Why It Matters

In an era of cloud-first, a globally distributed business must:

  • Unify identity and access governance across business entities to reduce security risks. Pure IAM simplifies identity management, ensuring seamless, secure access without added complexity.
  • Enhance cybersecurity with centralized logging and proactive threat monitoring. The Log Center provides visibility into authentication and access patterns, strengthening security and compliance.
  • Streamline administrative workflows while maintaining strict access control. Features like organization switching and the Operator role reduce IT overhead, making identity management more efficient at scale.

At Pure Storage, we bring the simplicity of infrastructure management to enterprise security. By removing friction from identity and access management, we empower IT teams to focus on innovation instead of operational overhead. And with Evergreen//One™, we’re redefining on-prem infrastructure management—combining the agility of the cloud with the control and predictability of on-prem solutions. Customers benefit from seamless scalability, continuous improvements without disruption, and a future-proof IT foundation that adapts to business growth. With these innovations, we are not just making security and access management easier—we are laying the groundwork for the next generation of enterprise infrastructure, where security, automation, and operational efficiency drive true business agility.
