Pure1 Updates

  • Scope 3 Enhancements to the Sustainability Assessment
    • The latest enhancements to our Sustainability Assessment (login required) include comprehensive Scope 3 emissions tracking. Pure Storage customers can now gain unparalleled visibility into the cradle-to-grave CO2 emissions of their data storage appliances. This includes emissions from materials, transportation, assembly and testing, packaging, product use phase, and end-of-life treatment. These enhancements empower customers to make informed decisions about sustainability and carbon footprint management, supporting their regulatory, compliance, and reporting needs.
  • Pure IAM v1 Is Live!
    • The Pure IAM (Identity and Access Management) [login required] serves as a centralized portal, streamlining the management of user identities and access to resources across various Pure Storage products and tools (Pure1 Manage, Partner Renewal Automation, Skyline, etc.). In v1, we launched App Switcher, a new user interface, and the User Lockin feature. The App Switcher enables seamless transitions between Pure Storage applications like Pure1 Manage, Skyline, and Pure IAM, all within a unified interface. This eliminates the need to log in and out, streamlining workflows and increasing efficiency by allowing quick access to multiple tools from a single platform. The revamped UI simplifies navigation and enhances user experience, providing an intuitive interface for managing access, permissions, and security policies. Its modern design ensures consistency across Pure1 applications, improving overall usability. The User Lockin feature allows administrators to disable user accounts without deleting them, ideal for temporarily restricting access while preserving account history, roles, and permissions. Disabled accounts can be re-enabled anytime, ensuring important data and roles remain intact. Stay tuned for more!

Pure1 Updates

  • New Security Assessment
    • Customers can now get a deeper visibility into fleet-level security risks. They can maximize security resilience using scores from 0-5 that reflect security strength across their fleet. They can increase compliance by discovering specific improvements to align with top security standards. Customers can streamline operations by optimizing admin operations for better efficiency and security.
  • Enhanced Anomaly Detection
    • Multiple machine learning models powered by Pure1 Meta® observe and learn from millions of data points returned via telemetry. Behaviors are understood within a normal versus anomalous range, which is based on historical behavior. Various parameters are correlated to identify an anomaly. Upper and lower thresholds are monitored to ensure models can catch micro changes that may add to a bigger anomaly. Anomalies are flagged using metrics such as Data Reduction Ratio, Total Latency Read and Write, Volume Count, and Snapshot Count.
  • Intelligent Expansion Recommendation
    • Pure1 helps customers avoid on-demand charges. Actionable AI-powered expansion recommendations are shown when license capacity is projected to reach the reserve capacity threshold or when license capacity reaches the on-demand usage threshold (i.e., 100% reserve capacity is used).
  • Quote Management Dashboard
    • The Quote Management dashboard provides an overview of all open, accepted, renewed, and expired renewal quotes for value-added resellers selling Evergreen//Foundation and Evergreen//Forever™. Using the dashboard, you can download, export, request changes to, and/or accept quotes for the subscriptions that power your Pure Storage experience.
  • New Invoice Management Improvements
    • Introducing a one-stop place for Evergreen//One™ partners to view all open, closed, and past due invoices for the last 12 months.
    • Partners can generate an invoice summary report in XLS and PDF format, as well as an invoice detail report in PDF format from the Report Center.
  • Pure Protect //DRaaS v1.2
    • Datastores can now be added to increase storage quota. Datastores added like this can be deleted until they are actually used by Pure Protect™ //DRaaS. When they are utilized, they can no longer be deleted. Pure Protect //DRaaS now supports the full, updated list of AWS instance types, including those with UEFI boot mode, allowing for protection of a wider range of VMs. It also supports throttled scheduling for the Job Execution Manager to harden Pure Protect //DRaaS against potentially problematic race conditions from workers carrying out protection jobs.
  • VM Analytics Enhancements
    • VM Analytics topology now supports NVMe-based datastores linkage to the associated volume/FlashArray. Enhanced insights through label filtering are achieved by clicking on the newly introduced labels. There is now  VM-to-managed directory mapping. We are adding the support for linking NFS datastore configured with DNS name (aka “FQDN”).
  • Track All Pure Storage Orders from Pure1
    • Customers can now track all orders, including the orders not initiated in Pure1 from the Orders page. They can also access orders placed up to two years in the past from Pure1. Customers can easily navigate between the self-service and assisted orders.
  • Track More Key Events on Appliance Genealogy
    • Customers can make the most of their subscriptions by accessing Ever Modern Upgrade (Free Every Three) eligibility, End-of-Life, Upcoming End-of-Life, and Service Dispatch event dates to strategically manage their fleet.
  • Ransomware Support Visibility on Subscription Genealogy
    • Customers can know which of their subscriptions include ransomware support and are protected against ransomware attacks.
  • Policy-based Enhanced SafeMode Management

    • At the top of the Appliance table, summary tiles display the number of appliances with particular statuses and can be used to filter the Appliance table to just appliances with those statuses. Bulk operations now include health checks, upgrade bundle downloads, and installation initiation. Support tickets are now automatically created for self-service upgrades that fail.
  • Notification Center Update
    • Customers will be able to get notified about the latest Pure Protect //DRaaS events like failovers. Extensive Business Metrics Dashboard supports tracking of opened and clicked-through notifications from email, Pure1, and the mobile app. There is now categorization per topic and template along with batched email notifications.
